How long have you been a T15 club?
We have been a T15 club for one year, this is our second season.

Where is your club?
The club is run form the shop here at Surfstore; it uses the school equipment and on-site lake.

When does your T15 club meet?
We meet on every Sunday.

How much does a session cost?
There is a cost of £12.50 per session, which is used to maintain and purchase new equipment.

Do you have equipment if clubbers don't yet have their own?
Yes, there is a full range of sails from 1.7 to 6.6m and a wide variety of boards including the Bic Techno 293.

How would you describe your T15 club?
Fun & Friendly. There is a wide range of abilities but the main factor that stands out is how keen and enthusiastic everyone is. (including the parents.)

What's really cool about your T15 club?
The relaxed and friendly atmosphere that comes across from the clubbers.

Have you taken part in any T15 inter-club competitions yet?
Yes - our club is keen to particpate.

Which club members are currently in your racing team15?
Scott Anderson
Jack Taite
Jacob Wall
Emma Brown-Bolton
Josh Brown Bolton
Luke Raistricks
Mathew Earp

What has been your best team result?
Think our best result was third at our own and first event last year.

Do you have a website with T15 details on it?
No, only the RYA team 15 website

What are your plans for the club?
Work in progress.

What would you say to people considering joining T15?
To keep working with the clubbers helping them to achieve their different goals. The club’s structure seems to be working pretty well, with regular attendance from its members each week. We will continue to ensure that there is plenty of equipment and facilities at their disposal so that they can maximise their time on the water. It is also one of our goals to try and maintain the current levels of attendance for next year.

Finally, any top tips for T15 clubbers?
It's a very fun and relaxed way to get into the sport, giving you that chance to make a lot of new friends along the way!

ADOPT-A-BEACH

The Green Blue is an environmental awareness initiative by the British Marine Federation and the Royal Yachting Association. One of its aims is to educate and promote the sustainable use of coastal and inland waters by watersports participants.

Some of the initiatives have a relevance to windsurfers - especially in achieving cleaner seas and beaches.

Adopt-a-Beach is definitely relevant to T15ers, which is a Marine Conservation Society project supported by the Green Blue.
