LOOKING TO GET THE EDGE AT INTER-CLUB EVENTS?
Posted On:  20/06/2008 9:18:05 AM

Are you neck and neck with somebody at the T15 inter-club challenges at the moment and want to get ahead? Or perhaps you're further down the fleet and want to improve on your position? Well maybe you can with the help of a bit of additional training. Those very nice people on the TSG (Techno Steering Group) have given a lot of thought to the T15 level sailor this year and come up with some top level coaching days for you.

The training days are linked to specific T15 inter-club events around the country so why not pack the tent, stay overnight and get the most out of the training that's on offer? If you're not in one of the RYA Zone Squads then this is an opportunity not to be missed since the sessions are targeting non-zone squad sailors. At just £20 per sailor for the day, it could be the best £20 you have ever spent.

Training dates and venues:

12th July            South Cerney            - coach: Cat Potter

13th July            Tamar Lakes             - coach: Ian Jamieson

20th July            Astbury                     - coach: Ian Roberts

27th July            Pitsford                     - coach: Ian Jamieson

Please note, the following date has now been cancelled:
26th July            Hythe

You don't need a Techno to take part, but if you have one or can get one, then bring it along. To book your place contact Nikki Flannaghan at the TSG: info@techno293.org.uk

ADOPT-A-BEACH

The Green Blue is an environmental awareness initiative by the British Marine Federation and the Royal Yachting Association. One of its aims is to educate and promote the sustainable use of coastal and inland waters by watersports participants.

Some of the initiatives have a relevance to windsurfers - especially in achieving cleaner seas and beaches.

Adopt-a-Beach is definitely relevant to T15ers, which is a Marine Conservation Society project supported by the Green Blue.
